Here's the only tax information
you'll read... And that's optional!
In 1913 the IRS issued the first
Form 1040 to be used to prepare annual income tax returns. The form was only
3 pages long plus 1 page of instructions. Today some 1040s will run to hundreds
of pages and the Internal Revenue Code (the tax law) fills thousands of pages
with millions of words.
We have spent many days and hours
studying the tax laws so you don't have to. You can be sure that we will prepare
your individual or business income tax return correctly and get you the biggest
and fastest refund the IRS allows. As recently as 10 years ago, we were still
printing most tax returns after they were prepared and placing them in envelopes
to be mailed to the IRS.
When the envelope arrived at the
processing center, someone had to open it and forward it to input operators where
the information we had sent was then entered in the IRS computers. This was very
time consuming, required a lot of manual labor and was very prone to errors in
the final results.
Today, we e-file (electronically
file) over 98% of all personal tax returns we prepare and we are now able to
e-file more business returns than in the past. This means that your return goes
directly from our computer to the IRS computers where it is immediately checked
for important information such as correct Social Security numbers, names and
birth dates. This also eliminates the extra steps that used to result in more
time and errors when your return was processed.
Get access to your money before the IRS writes the check!
What does this mean to
you? It means that you will know for sure that the IRS received your return (rather
than hoping it arrived through the mail), and you will receive any refund you
are due within a matter of days instead of several weeks.
We can also have your
refund directly deposited in your bank. This year we can deposit it in up to
three different bank accounts. This means that you can send part or all of your
refund to your IRA account or a savings account in addition to your regular checking
account.
What if you owe additional taxes? When we e-file your return,
you are sure of the delivery date so you will not be subjected to late filing
penalties. You then just have to mail a check to pay your taxes before the due
date.
Now for the exciting news! We have made arrangements with our
bank (Chase) to advance your refund (up to $10,000.00) even before the IRS writes
your check. You can walk out of our office with up to $1,500 of your refund immediately
and the rest within 24 hours!
You must qualify and there are extra fees to be
paid for this service. But the fees, along with our preparation fee can be deducted
from your refund. This means you can get your income taxes prepared, get your
refund immediately or within 24 hours (you choose) and not have to pay anything
up front. What a deal!
If it's our mistake, we pay the penalties.
We also accept
most credit and debit cards if you want to save your cash. Our goal is for you
to have an enjoyable experience while you handle the annual process of preparing
your income tax return. Whether it is simple or complicated, preparing your tax
return can be a frustrating job.
We strive to make it as easy as possible for
you and relieve you of any worries concerning your taxes. So what if the IRS
decides to review your return? Our service doesn't stop with just preparing your
return. We are here any time you need us. If you get the dreaded "white
envelope" from the IRS, just bring it to us and we will know exactly how
to respond. It is important to address these issues promptly to avoid the unpleasant
experience of more notices and possible penalties.
By the way, if we make a mistake
while preparing your return from the information you provide, we will pay any
penalties or interest that might be assessed if we are informed as soon as you
receive notice of the error. Another important service we offer all year, is
providing the answer to any tax questions that arise.
How much tax will I owe
if I sell some stocks, or land, or business assets? Is there any way to take
money out of my retirement plan without paying a penalty? I'm, thinking of starting
a business, help me with all of the details so I will file all of the proper
paperwork and choose the right way to do business (corporation, LLC, sole proprietor).
These are just a few if the important issues we deal with on a daily basis.
